I understand some of the criticisms of the new iPod shuffle, I just don't agree with them. I guess the new design is a love it or hate it thing. I love it. I've never had a problem with the controls on the headphone cord, in fact I think it's a really great feature. It's the first mp3 player I've ever owned that I could really control without looking at it, so even though the computer voice makes some silly mistakes, I like it too. The sound quality is great, it looks great, the size is right. Everything about this is perfect. I understand the complaint that people who want to use their own headphones have a problem with the controls on the cord. When it first came out there weren't many accessories for it, so you had to use Apple's headphones which aren't great. But it's been out for a while and other manufacturer's have come out with compatible headphones and adapters so it's really not an issue anymore. The idea behind this version of the shuffle is that it's small, éasca le húsáid, and affordable. It's all those things, and if that's what you're looking for, you should get one.

I have read several reviews stating that it is not good for sports and that it is a bad product, but let me tell you, this item is awesome...
after going to the gym and of course getting it all sweaty, i kept mine in my sweatshirt and UPS!!! it went to the washer all and all including headphones, well after finding it at the bottom of the washer (of course when finishing all the cycle) I drained all the water and allowed it to dry for the night, then connected it to charge and IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!!! so despite all I have read, my personal experience is that at least it is waterproof!!
